The retail energy markets are almost exclusively based on a “push” marketing
strategy where the traditional retail suppliers push their products
onto the market. More consideration is given to their margin
than to how well their products match a customer’s requirements.
Energy consultants have exacerbated this process by running RFP
events that merely take the best of what the market has to offer.
The end result is a product priced from the “top down” using
the bundled utility rate as the benchmark to savings.
We believe a better approach is to develop energy products
that are built from the bottom up starting with the customer’s
specific energy needs and risk profile. Once this is understood,
we develop products that are liquid and are actively traded.
This assures price discovery and costs tied to the true cost
of energy. We then determine the best way to source all other
components necessary for a complete full requirements product.
Our goal is to eliminate unnecessary markups and obtain pass-through
costs on all ancillary products.
